Joseph Giaccone joined WJ Financial Advisors, LLC, in 2014. He began his career in retail where he worked for several companies and was an instrumental figure in bringing Kohl’s Department stores to the East Coast. He also opened stores for Gap Inc. and the Kmart Corporation. Those early years built a strong foundation in customer service skills
Joseph joined the Financial Services industry in early 2001 by joining First Union Bank which would eventually become Wells Fargo Bank after multiple mergers and acquisitions. For nearly 14 years he held roles of increasing responsibility including managing 11 branches of 110 team members, Senior Business Relationship Manager assisting business customers in all aspects of their financial relationships across all of Connecticut and Massachusetts, and Service Director handling customer relations for all of Connecticut and Hudson Valley New York. He achieved many accolades and was recognized for exceptional performance on numerous occasions.
A former resident of Guilford, CT and graduate of Guilford High School, Joseph also earned a BS degree in Business Administration, concentration in Ethics from Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island.
Joseph lives in Killingworth with his wife and two children. He has always been involved in the community with a particular interest in the betterment of the lives of children. He has a long relationship with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Red Cross, United Way, and Easter Seals. He is an active participant of youth sports programs in Killingworth as a coach in several sports including baseball and Haddam-Killingworth basketball. He currently enjoys dedicating his time as a board member of the Farnam Neighborhood House in New Haven. Farnam provides daycare, after school programs, education, nutrition, and sports programs for children all over New Haven with a focus on underprivileged children.
