Wallace Jones, CFA is the founder and President of WJ Financial Advisors, LLC. Wally began his career with Ernst & Young, LLP (E&Y;) as a management consultant based in Washington, DC. At E&Y;, he learned the benefits of developing strong client relationships based upon honest communication and hard work, for mutual benefit. After graduate school, he worked as an investment banker for Adams, Harkness & Hill in Boston, MA, helping institutional clients raise equity capital. Prior to launching WJ Financial Advisors, LLC, Wally had been the Chief Financial Officer for a privately held professional services firm. As CFO, Wally was responsible for budgeting operating and capital expenditures, developing banking relationships and executing the firm’s acquisition strategy. During his tenure with the firm, annual revenues increased from $5MM to $20MM.
Wally’s academic background includes an undergraduate business degree from Georgetown University (cum laude) with concentrations in Finance, Marketing and International Business.
His MBA degree was earned from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University with concentrations in Finance, Strategy and Entrepreneurship. He is a CFA Institute charterholder and member of the Hartford Society of Financial Analysts.
Wally lives in Killingworth, CT with his family. He is an active member of the community and enjoys sharing his time and expertise. Wally currently serves as Board Chair for the Community Foundation of Middlesex County, an $11 million foundation dedicated to improving lives in Middlesex County. He also serves on the Vestry of Zion Episcopal Church, the Board of the Killingworth Library Association and invests his time and energy as a coach for Killingworth Youth League Baseball and Haddam-Killingworth Youth Football.
